Storms Arrive Sunday Evening… Here’s an Update

Good Thursday evening! Here’s a look at new data valid Sunday evening for the potential of rain and storms.
This data is valid 7pm Sunday and 10:30pm Sunday. A line of intense storms will enter west Alabama shortly after sunset, then push east into the overnight hours.
These storms could produce gusty winds, and I can’t totally rule out a severe storm on the western side of the state. The main window is 6pm to midnight Sunday night. If there is a severe storm, the risk would be damaging winds. Given the very low instability, a tornado risk is unlikely, however, let’s keep a close eye on trends.
Rain amounts of 0.75″ to 1.25″ expected.
