TEMA gives update on winter storm during state of emergency
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) is set to provide an update on the winter storm as the state of emergency continues in the Volunteer State.
TEMA will hold a briefing at about 3 p.m. to discuss the ongoing winter storm.
“Heavy snow is moving across the state. TEMA continues to work with local, regional, and state partners to support readiness actions and any requests for resources. The state remains at a Level 3, State of Emergency, to be able to respond to the impending winter weather and to continue to respond to Tropical Storm Helene recovery.”

Most Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky areas will get around 12 hours of snowfall on Friday. It will exit from west to east throughout the evening.
The snow is expected to wrap up in western Middle Tennessee by about 3-5 p.m.
